Meet the Raconteur
A self-professed “geek”, my lifelong interest in storytelling blossomed thanks to weekly bicycle rides to the local comic book store and the pursuit of used DVDs for a personal library that was used on a near-nightly basis. These frequent escapes into popular culture gave me characters, places and emotions that shaped my view of the world and of who I wanted to become. That passion for genre storytelling went so far as to influence my academic pursuits at The Ohio State University (yes, we’re required to say “The”), where I studied Molecular Genetics partially due to the influence of the fact-based science fiction of Michael Crichton (and Mr. Spielberg) in Jurassic Park. However, I couldn’t resist the pull of storytelling and was soon pursuing a second major in Film.
After an internship for a high-level producer, I graduated and moved to Los Angeles. I soon got into the mailroom and onto a desk at United Talent Agency, where I first learned the mechanics of the entertainment business. I then supported senior feature development executives at Paramount and Disney, where I experienced the collaborative process of developing a story and the benefits and pitfalls of IP ideation. The idea of a role that required equal parts storytelling, problem-solving, collaboration, and strategic vision was exciting to me.
My childhood passions came full circle at Lucasfilm when I had the opportunity to work on Star Wars Rebels and Galaxy’s Edge. Over the next decade plus I worked on a variety of projects with the responsibility of protecting the galaxy far, far, away, while building on the legacy left by Mr. Lucas and helping it connect with new generations of fans through fresh stories across live-action, animation, theme park/immersive experiences, games, and publishing. As a creative translator, I acted as a integral bridge between corporate franchise strategy and the artistic ambitions of elite showrunners, writers, and directors.
I had the privilege of managing complex creative pipelines and leading animation production on series and shorts, collaborating on narrative ideation for games, co-designing groundbreaking branching narratives for immersive experiences, and vetting top-tier writing talent to staff flagship series. I composed pitch decks and greenlight presentation materials, shaped story and lore bibles, and collaborated with creators and storytellers across platforms, target demographics, and fandom sectors.
Along the way, I learned that creative leadership means being calm in the storm and staying solution-oriented while keeping teams inspired and great character narratives intact. Today I bring that same studio franchise-level rigor directly to creators, companies, and brands through my work as a creative consultant. I founded this business because I believe that we will always be naturally drawn to great stories, and great franchises invite us to experience those stories in ways that can grow and evolve with the audience.
By understanding the balance between those ideas, I want to collaborate and help creators, storytellers, brands, and companies translate abstract creative concepts into scalable, commercially viable, and multi-generational transmedia franchises. Whether you are trying to scale a cult-favorite story into a multi-platform ecosystem, build a bulletproof lore bible, or guide a team through a challenging production pipeline, I provide the strategic blueprint to make your fictional world endure.
I look forward to working with you.
